Isabel Castro is a certified Ayurveda Health Practitioner, recognized by the National Ayurveda Medical Association. While getting her Bachelor’s degree from Humboldt State University, Isabel became familiar with the power behind multi-disciplinary education, as well as the importance of sustainability. After traveling around Central America and New Zealand, setting up organic homesteads and learning about herbal medicine, she found that Ayurveda did for her body what she was trying to do with the land - supporting long-term health in a simple, common sense way. She studied for three years at the California College of Ayurveda, including a nine-month supervised clinical internship.

With Ayurveda’s simple, easy to understand framework, she could finally explain the qualities of common symptoms, their remedies, and how to maintain balanced health. She's also been practicing hatha yoga for over 9 years, now focusing on an intuitive way to move. She completed a 200-hr Hatha Yoga teacher training with Western Yoga College in 2012. In 2005 she received Reiki certifications in levels I & II. Today, she works to meet each patient wherever they are, creating a personalized program to bring them back to their most balanced state, and using humor and creativity throughout.
